The grinder sits under the bean container. When it runs and no beans drop in, the machine stops the drink and asks for beans. Bertazzoni coffee machine display What to do when Fill bean container shows on the coffee machine ### Kind of code Grinder and beans The grinder ran and too little came through, or it did not run at all: the hopper is empty, an oily or flavored bean is bridging over the burrs, a small stone or a clump has jammed them, or the burrs themselves are worn so the grind has turned coarse. Topping up with dry, plain beans and letting the machine try again clears most of it; a grinder that clicks, hums or stays silent with a full hopper needs its burrs and motor checked. ### Usually leads to Coffee machine grinder repair Clearing and renewing the burr grinder: jammed beans, a stone between the burrs, worn burrs, and the motor and gearbox that turn them. ### Shows up as What a Coffee Machine Error Code or Warning Symbol Means A coffee machine error code may show as a short string of letters and numbers, a flashing symbol for water, grounds or the brew unit, a short sentence on a text display, or a machine that stops with one light blinking. ### Make Bertazzoni When a Bertazzoni coffee machine stops pouring, the visit starts at the water tank seat and the grounds drawer before any part is suspected. ### Source Bertazzoni CM242WTXT 24-inch built-in coffee maker installation, user and maintenance manual (US) Bertazzoni's only US coffee machine, the Professional Series CM242WTXT 24-inch built-in coffee maker with a 4.3-inch touch display. Each step comes from Bertazzoni's own guidance for Fill bean container on its coffee machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Let the current drink end, then refill the bean container with plain roasted beans in the usual way. 02 Avoid green, caramelized or candied beans, which Bertazzoni warns can stick in the grinder. 03 If the message comes back with the container full, book a visit so the grinder feed can be checked. ### Still there? It usually turns into [coffee machine grinder repair](https://coffeemachinerepair.center/services/coffee-machine-grinder-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do The line does not point to a worn grinder. Very oily beans can hang up over the opening and bring the message up with beans still visible. ## What you may notice with it. The coffee machine problems Fill bean container tends to arrive with. Let the current drink end, then refill the bean container with plain roasted beans in the usual way. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### How many beans does the Bertazzoni CM242WTXT hold? Bertazzoni lists a 12-ounce bean container. It also takes pre-ground coffee through a separate funnel, one measure at a time. ### Why does my Bertazzoni say Fill bean container when I can see beans? Oily or dark roasts can clump and leave a hollow above the grinder. Stir the beans and try a drier roast. ### Can I brew on my Bertazzoni without beans? Yes, through the pre-ground setting and funnel, one level measure per cup. The bean message will not affect a pre-ground drink. --- **[Read on the site: Bertazzoni Fill bean container: no beans reached the grinder](https://coffeemachinerepair.center/error-codes/bertazzoni-fill-bean-container/)** **[Book a visit with CoffeeMachineRepair.center](https://coffeemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
