Bosch builds its US machines for 120 volts. When the outlet delivers well above or below that, the control stops the heater and pump and shows a voltage message; the cause is usually the circuit, the outlet or a cord in between, not the machine. Bosch coffee machine display · also shown as Overvoltage or undervoltage What to do when Voltage (V) incorrect. shows on the coffee machine ### Kind of code Control board and power The electronics that read the keys and run the grinder, the pump and the heater have flagged a problem with themselves or with the power reaching them: a supply that dipped or spiked, a board that lost its settings after an outage, a display or touch panel that stopped answering, or a relay that stuck. One switch-off at the key or the breaker clears a passing glitch; a message that returns, or any hot smell, means the power stays off and a technician tests the board. ### Usually leads to Coffee machine control board repair Testing and replacing the power board, control board and touch panel of a coffee machine, and the sensors they read. ### Shows up as What a Coffee Machine Error Code or Warning Symbol Means A coffee machine error code may show as a short string of letters and numbers, a flashing symbol for water, grounds or the brew unit, a short sentence on a text display, or a machine that stops with one light blinking. ### Make Bosch Bosch espresso makers get a home visit that separates a stubborn reminder on the display from a part that has actually worn. ### Source Bosch 500 Series VeroCafe (TPU40) Use and Care Manual, Troubleshooting The 500 Series manual prints Voltage (V) incorrect.; the 800 Series and the BCM8450UC built-in print Overvoltage or undervoltage. ## Before you book, in this order. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Plug the machine straight into a wall outlet, not a power strip, travel adapter or extension cord. 02 Try another outlet on a different circuit and see whether the message clears. 03 If it appears on every outlet, have the supply checked by an electrician; if the house supply is fine, book a visit. ### Still there? Plug the machine straight into a wall outlet, not a power strip, travel adapter or extension cord. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### My Bosch VeroCafe shows a voltage message only in the morning. Why? Supply voltage can sag when many loads start together on the same circuit. If the message follows the time of day or another appliance, the circuit is the place to look first. ### Can I run a Bosch espresso machine bought abroad on US power? Bosch's US models are rated for 120 volts. A machine built for another country's voltage will show this message or worse, and it is not something a repair changes. ### Is a voltage message on my Bosch ever the machine's own problem? Occasionally the power board misreads a good supply. When the outlet measures correctly and the message still appears, that is the point to book a visit. --- **[Read on the site: Bosch espresso machine: Voltage incorrect or Overvoltage or undervoltage](https://coffeemachinerepair.center/error-codes/bosch-voltage-incorrect/)** **[Book a visit with CoffeeMachineRepair.center](https://coffeemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
