Every hot water pour, descale and air purge leaves through one removable spout on a front receptacle. On the EC2450 and EC3050, two position switches inside that receptacle must both be pressed before the machine accepts the spout, and it confirms with two beeps; the EC24 gives one beep. Debris in the spout or a crack can keep it from seating. Wolf coffee machine display What to do when INSERT WATER SPOUT shows on the coffee machine ### Kind of code Water and tank The machine asked for water and did not get what it expected: the tank is empty, sits off its seat or has a float the sensor cannot see, air is trapped in the line, or the flowmeter counted too little water passing in the time allowed. On a plumbed unit the same message can mean a closed shutoff, a kinked supply hose or a clogged inlet valve. Reseating a full tank and running a rinse clears the simple cases; a pump that hums with nothing moving is a visit. ### Usually leads to Coffee machine pump repair Testing and replacing the pump that drives water through the coffee, with the flowmeter that counts each cup and the valves beside it. ### Shows up as What a Coffee Machine Error Code or Warning Symbol Means A coffee machine error code may show as a short string of letters and numbers, a flashing symbol for water, grounds or the brew unit, a short sentence on a text display, or a machine that stops with one light blinking. ### Make Wolf A Wolf built-in coffee system gets a technician at your home, and the appointment note records whether it runs on a tank or a water line. ### Source Wolf answer: EC2450 and EC3050 shows Insert Water Spout Wolf EC24 (one beep), EC2450 and EC3050 (two beeps, two position switches). ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Wolf's own guidance for INSERT WATER SPOUT on its coffee machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Pull the spout straight off by its vertical tab. 02 Rinse it under cold running water, with a little dish soap if needed, and rinse again. 03 Push it back over the receptacle until you hear the beep, two on the newer touchscreen models. 04 If a clean, uncracked spout still is not recognized, book a visit for the switches. ### Still there? It usually turns into [coffee machine pump repair](https://coffeemachinerepair.center/services/coffee-machine-pump-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do An empty or missing tank has its own prompt, so this one says nothing about the water supply. Nor is it a milk problem, although the milk container fits the same port. ## What you may notice with it. The coffee machine problems INSERT WATER SPOUT tends to arrive with. Pull the spout straight off by its vertical tab. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why won't my Wolf EC3050 accept the water spout? It has to be pushed far enough to press both switches inside the receptacle, and you should hear two beeps. Clean it and push it straight on. ### Can I descale my Wolf coffee system without the water spout? No. Wolf's descale steps start by fitting the spout, and the machine will not run the cycle if it does not recognize it. ### Is the Wolf water spout the same part on every model? No. The EC24 and the EC2450 or EC3050 use different spouts with different part numbers. --- **[Read on the site: Wolf INSERT WATER SPOUT: the machine cannot feel the spout on its receptacle](https://coffeemachinerepair.center/error-codes/wolf-insert-water-spout/)** **[Book a visit with CoffeeMachineRepair.center](https://coffeemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
