DUMBO's shift from factories to homes began in the late 1970s, when artists came for big, cheap lofts. ## What DUMBO does to a coffee machine. Its industrial complex was listed nationally as a historic district in 2000. The former Brillo Manufacturing building at 200 Water Street was being renovated as a high-end condo building. Three days after Sandy, Con Edison reported about 35,000 Brooklyn customers still without service. [All of New York Metro](https://coffeemachinerepair.center/locations/new-york/) ### Tower living A tower kitchen shares a floor slab with the apartment below, so a coffee machine leaving water on the counter or in its cabinet is switched off, its tank is emptied, and a plumbed unit's shutoff under the sink is closed before anyone looks further. ### Older housing stock Older houses rarely have a water line where a remodel wants a plumbed coffee system, so a new run is added from the sink or a basement pipe, and an old galvanized pipe can send rust and sediment to the machine's inlet screen. ### On the water Within reach of sea spray and ocean breezes, a coffee machine's board pins and pump terminals slowly corrode, and a machine near the water that shows random errors or restarts on its own often has that corrosion to clean. ## A visit in DUMBO.
