What E0510
actually means.

The CMP 250 manual prints E0510 as its sample numbered error and tells the owner to act on what the screen says next. The number itself is read by the technician against Gaggenau service data, so it is worth keeping exactly.

What to do when E0510 shows on the coffee machine

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Gaggenau's own guidance for E0510 on its coffee machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Photograph the display so the number and any text under it are kept exactly.

02

Follow the instruction on the screen; where it calls for a restart, turn the main switch off for a minute and back on.

03

A second Error line means leaving the machine off and booking a visit with the number ready.

It usually turns into coffee machine control board repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

Contact customer service on the same model is the other error screen, and it carries no number. A plain care prompt such as Please descale is routine and not an error.

What you may
notice with it.

Questions
about E0510.

Can I clear E0510 myself?
Photograph the display so the number and any text under it are kept exactly. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
My Gaggenau CMP 250 is discontinued. Can it still be repaired after E0510?
Yes. The end of sales in December 2025 does not end service, and a technician identifies 200 series parts from the numbers on the machine's rating plate.
Does the new Gaggenau Expressive coffee machine show E-numbers too?
Its manual does not list any. The Expressive series asks for a restart in words instead, so E0510 belongs to the older 200 series.
Where do I find the numbers a technician needs on my Gaggenau?
On the rating plate inside the machine, which carries the E-Nr. and FD number. Reading it only means opening the door; nothing has to come out of the cabinet.

Still showing E0510?

Three things make the booking useful: the message or number exactly as the display showed it, the full model number from the plate, and whether the machine still grinds and pours at all. Send those and the likely part can be looked up before the van leaves.
